The Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Festival presents the first Malibu Calabasas Chef Demonstration, featuring world renowned chefs from 10 local restaurants.

The participating chefs will get recognition on our website, a complimentary booth at the event and advertisement in our full colored program.

  1. - Judging will take place during the festival

  2. - Judges are randomly selected (festival attendees)

  3. - The winner will be announced on June 27th.

Chef Joachim Splichal

One of the "Legedary Chefs" according to Bon Appétit, Joachim Splichal is a major contributor to the Los Angeles dining scene. Elegant dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, are the signature taste of Patina, his flagship restaurant. Awarded "Best California Chef" in 1991 and twice nominated "Chef of the Year", Joachim Splichal will be cooking live at the Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Festival.

Chef Don Alger

Executive Chef for Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets and a Le Cordon Blue graduate, Chef Don is an expert in the field of marinates, barbeques and smoking.

 

Chef Tyler Cyre

Chef Tyler Cyre from the Restaurant at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills piques the palate with tantalizing new combinations of time-honored flavors. Sourced from area farmer’s markets and local farms, the seasonal and specialty items come together in unexpected preparations to produce extraordinary flavors, while the vitrines allow guests to view a vast, expertly chosen collection of vintage and reserve wines.

 

 

Chef Tom O'Brian

The Calabasas Country Club's head chef, Tom O’Brian, has spent the last 20 years working as a chef in venues across the country. Previously in charge of culinary duties at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, Chef Tom will delight us with his extraordinary cooking.
